The principle of operation of the centrifugal clutch.

A centrifugal clutch operates on the principle of centrifugal force. The weight attached to the clutch shoe moves outward when the engine rotates, creating contact between the shoe and the clutch drum. The engine's power is transmitted to the driven shaft through this interaction.

In a scooter, the centrifugal clutch helps to disconnect the engine from the wheels when the engine is idling. To stop the scooter, the driver needs to release the throttle so that the engine speed decreases. At low speeds, the centrifugal clutch disengages, and the scooter stops.
